I’ve been using Teepublic for over 4 years!
This website has been the best way for me to share my art with the entire world. Way more than Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and Pinterest. I’ve used my profits from the site to purchase a PS4in 2019, a new computer in 2020 and the past 2 years profits are going to take my family to Disney World. The site allows you to as an artist to get your work printed onto t-shirts, posters, stickers, mugs, magnets, phone cases, bags, and even pillows. If you are looking to mass produce your art or advertise your business on clothes TeePublic is the place for you.

My number one design “I’m Old Gregg” found an audience pretty quick. I knew there was an audience out there that found this Mighty Boosh video clip on YouTube as hilarious as I did. I thought surely my friends and I weren’t the only guys quoting this thing. So I made a design that had my favorite bits. It is still my top seller on my store Teepublic.com/user/cooldojobro … but there was one design that skyrocketed and is catching up, and may even surpass this one.
One of the most popular designs I always wanted for myself was my homage to the King of Pop. “Michael Jackson Legacy”. I had made plenty of superhero and videogame team designs, so I wanted to try something different. Since I was a kid, I always love MJ’s classic hits and on the rare 90’s MTV/VH1 music video specials, I got a chance to watch his music videos. You kids don’t know how lucky you are that YouTube exists and you can watch virtually anything on that miracle (Yes I said miracle) of the internet. As one of my favorite designs, I can admit to buying it off my own store!

“Lord Zedd and Rita” Design No longer avialable
Up until last year, I had the #1 “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” design on TeePublic.
It got taken down for some reason, which sucks because there are a numerous designs on the site that have the MMPR Logo and even use un-original art on them and are still up! The same thing happened to my two other biggest sellers Street Fighter and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Both used the franchise logos in the design. So I took the logos off the designs and reuploaded the “new” art with no logos. No surprise, the sales dropped off and those designs got pushed down the line. But the first design taken down was my “Panthro of the Thundercats” . It was a huge seller on the site, but in fairness… every single Thundercats design was taken down on the site. It was a bummer but those are the weird rules of the artworld.
After my original logo-ed art was taken down for my MMPR design, along with my kick-ass “Lord Zedd and Rita” design. I looked around on the other artists store who had Power Ranger designs up and saw that they were using the logo and/or similar variations of it. So I said “what the hell and made a brand new MMPR design and threw it on the store. It was way cooler in my opinion and I wanted one for myself as well… So again I bought my own design.
To sum up, if you have the ability to make your artwork digital and have a desire to make some $$$, get a TeePublic store of your own. Start simple, look up trends on the web, and make stuff you yourself would want to wear.
